Having passed Senior Cambridge from St. Joseph’s Convent, Patna and after obtaining her Master’s in English and L.L.B from Patna University, joined the legal profession in Patna High Court in September 1986 and got training under her parents namely Late Rebti Mohan Mishra and Late Smt. Sabitri Mishra, Advocates, Patna High Court. Practiced and conducted cases independently in Civil, Criminal and Constitutional matters, particularly Service matters, Empaneled Lawyer for several Institutions and also piloted the cause of women Lawyers regarding implementation of State policy regarding inclusion of Women lawyers as Public Prosecutors in all district courts. Functioned as Secretary, Rules Committee, Patna High Court from 1994 to 2004. Nominated as Member Complaints Committee by Hon’ble the Chief Justice, constituted under Vishakha Case guidelines.
Elevated to the Bench on 15th May, 2014 and demitted office as a Judge of the Patna High Court on 29th February, 2020.
Nominated as a Chairperson of the Bihar State Law Commission on 18th January, 2021.
Appointed as a Judicial Member of the Armed Forces Tribunal and joined the Principal Bench on 16th September, 2021.
